"We had the good fortune of connecting with Natashia Miyazaki and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natashia, why did you pursue a creative career?
I love to create products, having ideas in your mind and problem solving ways to build your idea into reality is everything. Making things with my hands. Ideas sparking in my mind, I had to have a career in it, there was no other choice. I was lucky to have a mother that was a very talented artist. Although we were pretty poor, she was always encouraging me & my brother to create, never watching TV always making everything from book binding, papier-mâché, recycled decorations, toys & even gifts during the holidays.

My passion for fashion came from a young age, once my mum taught me how to trace a pattern from one of her garments and that was it, I was hooked. My first business was selling custom Fimo Jewelery at my school in 7th Grade. I created a printed catalogue and handed them out to my classmates. I always knew eventually I needed my own brand, I always was destined to be my own boss. The experience and jobs in between were just steps on the ladder towards that end."

"While selling my wares I was scouted by the director of print design at Guess. They offered me a position in Hong Kong, I was shortly relocated to the other side of the world, never been there before, not knowing one person. Not speaking the language. Just dropped in China. It was pretty crazy, exciting, life changing."
"I took this time to finally launch my self titled unisex brand, releasing 2 collections in 2021, and my latest collection which I am most proud of in March 2022, Title “Welcome to Wonderland”."
